Happy New Year!! I can't hardly believe 2018 is already here. It's been such a great year here at GAP & this year is already shaping up to be even better. Although this year was amazing in many ways, it was also a challenge. I took on a few less weddings since it was my first year as a working mom, & I'm glad I did since balancing work and everyday life turned out to be a little more difficult than I expected. I've worked so hard to build this business and it was painful for me to scale back and not be able to accomplish all the ideas I wanted to put into play for this past year. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a stay-at-home mom and am so grateful that I'm able to do it, but if I do anything, I want to do it perfectly and give 100%. This year I had to reevaluate my workload and take on a few less weddings than normal in order to make sure that I could still keep up with life & other aspects of my business. It was the right decision for sure! In 2018, I'll only be taking a certain number of weddings per month, and already have a few months fully booked. Thank you SO MUCH to all my past & future brides/clients. I appreciate every single one of you & definitely do not take this amazing job of mine for granted! 2018 is going to be incredible - I can feel it.
These last couple of weeks have been absolutely crazy with all the holidays, but I figured the perfect way to kick off the new year would be to share my favorites from the last wedding of 2017 - Josh & Emily's big day!
It's honestly getting to the point where I shoot so many stunning weddings for so many amazing couples, that I have trouble coming up with new ways to tell you all how much I love and appreciate being a part of each one. When I met Emily and her mom for her consultation, I knew that I wanted to work with her immediately. She's seemed so easy-going and yet organized; two of my favorite characteristics for brides! I was definitely right. The wedding day flowed perfectly - even though it was below freezing and windy! Josh, Emily, and their wedding party toughed it out though, and we ended up with some of my favorite images to date. Of course, the bride & groom are gorgeous, but I was so inspired by their gorgeous venue. I've got a few weddings lined up for this venue in 2018 & I already can't wait to shoot there again! Thank you so much, Josh & Emily, for choosing me to capture such an important day in your lives. I wish you guys the very best!!
